Recorded relatively early during the early pre-Broadway tour, while it was playing in Philadelphia. This explaing the inclusion of "With All Due Respect," which was cut before the Broadway opening.
It would seem that the cast was transported back to New York for on their first day off in Philadelphia to record it at Webster Hall. The recording was made two-and-a-half months before the Broadway opening.
The CD issue includes the previously unreleased track of the reprise of "Who Can I Turn To (When Nobody Needs Me)?", performed by Cyril Ritchard. It does not, however, reorder two tracks — "Look at That Face" and "My First Love Song" — that were reversed from the order in which the songs were performed in the Broadway production.
The track list on the CD lists the final track as starting with the reprise of "The Beautiful Land," but the track actually starts with "Sweet Beginning," and then the reprise of "The Beautiful Land" follows. We have adjusted our track list to reflect this.
