The Best Plays of 1971-1972 listed the date on which Carol Tenney replaced Madeline Kahn as August 16, 1971, but on Thursday, September 2, 1971, the Daily News reported that Tenney had just replaced Kahn for the last two weeks of the run. This seems to suggest that Tenney had taken over on Monday, August 30, 1971. With some uncertainty as to which is correct, we are following the Daily News in this.
