Funny Girl

National Tour (1965)

Trivia & History

When the tour started, "A Temporary Arrangement," a song that had been cut during the pre-Broadway tryout, was restored for this production, but it was placed in a different spot than it had been when the tryout opened in Boston in January 1964. Later in the run, the song was cut.

The production was on layoff August 21-28, 1966.

The tour closed prematurely on October 29, 1966, canceling at least one scheduled engagement, when producer Martin Tahse's Tahse Corp. declared bankruptcy. The next engagement was to have been at the Arena Auditorium in Duluth, Minnesota.
