Press reports at the time said that this would a six-week workshop, starting on December 31, 1984. We do not know if this meant that there would be six weeks of performances or several weeks of rehearsal followed by a week or two of performances.

It was also said in press announcements about the workshop that the show would open on Broadway on May 1, 1985, following previews starting on April 11, but no theatre had yet been booked.
