Trivia & History

While the number of performances for this return of the New York City Opera production is sometimes given as 15, the first four of those performances were regarded by the company as previews.

The other works in City Opera's repertory were put on hold during this production's four previews and first five performances, but the remaining performances played in repertory with Carmen, La Bohème, and Mark Adamo's Little Women.

There was no list of musical numbers in the playbill, but we have provided one that does reflect what was performed in the production.
