Trivia & History

Due to the network censors in 1982, when the title was mentioned it had to be altered.  Some title variations included:

  • "The Best Little Cathouse in Texas"
  • "The Best Little Chickenhouse in Texas"
In some cases trailers and even the film weren't show on television or in theatres.

Despite this, the film was the highest grossing movie musical of the 1980s.
