Gone with the Wind

Original London Production (1972)

Trivia & History

The horse Charlie became famous when he relieved himself onstage during the burning of Atlanta on opening night. Eight months later, Charlie was injured onstage and had to be put to sleep, being replaced by his understudy Nellie.

Following a charity preview on April 26, 1973, there seem to have been only three more previews. Although it seems that tickets for the charity may not have been avaialble to the general public, we are including it when we list the date of the first preview and the number of previews.
