Trivia & History

Performances were suspected from March 30 through April 3, 1943, due to Ray Bolger being ill with laryngitis and the grippe (according to press reports at the time).

According to Gary Marmorstein's A Ship Without a Sail: The Life of Lorenz Hart, after the first or second post-opening Saturday night performance, microphones were installed onstage, over the objections of Lorenz Hart.
