A busker falls in love with a much younger woman who longs to be a big star in the theatre and leaves him to follow her dreams.

This was one of those shows that just never came together. After a development period of several years, it embarked on a 6-month tryout tour in April 1995. It closed up shop when leading man Tommy Tune injured his foot during a performance in Florida. Among many changes made during tryouts was the use of two other titles, 'Stage Door Charley' and 'Buskers'.
